Success in Year 9 & 10 Shakespeare

Shakespeare is fun and it is the intention of this book to ensure this is so.

In this book you will find activities of use for both students at home and teachers in the classroom. Different types of texts have been incorporated and literacy activities are integrated into the different activities.

The book focuses on two tragedies: Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet. While some background material is included (eg Shakespeare's life and times), the focus is on the plays themselves.

Keeping in mind the spirit of the syllabus, this book also includes work on the film texts of these plays. Some comparative exercises are included to show students how the composers can manipulate the texts.
