HSC English – The Craft of Writing

HSC English The Craft of Writing covers the common focus area for Year 12 English Standard and English Advanced. It includes a range of annotated excerpts from imaginative, discursive, persuasive and reflective texts, showcasing a variety of perspectives and language features. Activities lead students through an analysis of the texts’ key language features to then develop their own written pieces.

The book also outlines effective processes for drafting and editing, and for reflecting on writing choices. The final chapter covers the exam task in Section III of Paper 2, with tips, guidelines and numerous examples of stimulus material to assist students with exam preparation and performance.
