Beverley Farmer was born in Melbourne; she married a Greek Australian, moving to Greece and live in a small farming village with her husband and his family. she lived between two different cultures. However, she returns to Australia when she became pregnant. Despite their eventual divorce, Farmer has not severed her connection to Greece, returning many times to visit family and friends. Many of her short stories and novels, including an autobiographical work, are inspired by her overseas experiences...
