2026 VCE Exam Timetable – Dates, Times & Revision Resources
Preparing for the 2026 VCE exams? Below you'll find the 2026 VCE examination timetable, including key dates, examination times and important information to help students plan ahead.
Students should always confirm their examination details and check the latest information provided by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) before attending an examination.
Important Information for 2026 VCE Exams
- Students should check the starting time of each examination and arrive at least 30 minutes earlier. Students should also be familiar with the rules regarding late admission to examinations.
- The afternoon session begins at 2:00 pm on Friday 30 October, Monday 2 November, Tuesday 10 November, Thursday 12 November and Wednesday 18 November, when only two sessions are scheduled.
- On all other days when three sessions are scheduled, the afternoon session begins at 3:00 pm.
- The reading period is included in the times shown in the timetable. Each examination commences with a 15-minute reading period unless otherwise specified.
- All written responses must be in English unless otherwise instructed in the question book for that particular examination.
- Students presenting for Performance examinations, Languages oral examinations or the Extended Investigation oral presentation will receive individual examination advice slips. Photo identification and examination advice slips must be presented for entry to the assessment.
- Written examinations with an audio component include Music Composition, Music Contemporary Performance, Music Inquiry, Music Repertoire Performance, VET Music (Sound Production), and Languages including Chinese Language, Culture and Society, except Auslan, Aboriginal Languages of Victoria, Classical Greek, Classical Hebrew and Latin.
