Year 3 Language & Mathematics

Basic Skills Language and Maths Year 3 is designed to help
children learn the fundamentals in Language and Mathematics. Children
improve their skills by the systematic study and disciplined practice
offered in the many challenging exercises on each page or set of work.

Aim for Excellence!

The Mathematics section on each page aims to increase powers of
numeracy by developing speed and accuracy. Some problems may be above
the general level of Year 3 but can be solved by selecting possible
answers to see if any fit. Thus by trial and error, and persistence, the
correct answer can be found.

The Language section often involves a
multiple choice of answers. A student should not be encouraged to make
wild guesses at answers he or she is unsure of. If there is uncertainty
about an answer, then the dictionary should be consulted.

The answer section is placed in the middle of the book and can be removed by a parent.
